We made it through our first year! Who would have thought? It feels like just yesterday we started this journey. I was full of excitement and a little uncertain about what lay ahead. Now, I hope we can ignore the hiccups and look back at the great moments we’ve shared and the bond we’ve built over the past twelve months.
I count you all as friends and I can't thank you enough for being there. Meeting monthly to share our hobby and stories has been a chance for us to all get to know each other, and to feel encouraged in quilting, and in life. I truly appreciate our commitment to each other, which has created a community I value. I look forward to our meetups, filled with creativity and friendship.
This Wednesday, is our last gathering for 2025, and I’m excited about our plans to exchange pillowcases. I love that we are making something so personal and it feels like we've gotten to know each other's tastes. I feel like when they are unveiled I'd be able to pick who they are for without being told. Is that a thing?
Don't forget you can contribute to our Holiday snack potluck if you feel like it. I’m planning a little something for Heartfelt as a token of appreciation for hosting, and I’ll bring a card for everyone to sign. They've been great, staying open late for us and opening their place to us in a little bit of an emergency.
Next year is open ahead of us and I am really excited for our group. I'm not planning too much yet, but wanted to make sure everyone knows that if you ever feel like taking over a meeting with a demo, lesson or other fun idea, I'm here for it. I am a Leo, I do like all the attention and running things, but it feels like more of a community than a 'Janell show'.
Also, I'd love some input on swaps:
Are we interested in doing more swaps next year?
Yes
No
Was two enough, or should we try quaterly?
Two was plenty!!
I'd love more!
Do you have any ideas for swaps?
Write an answer
That's all I've got today pals, but I will see you on Wednesday, project and treats at the ready!
