Swap, Retreat, and All the Things!
So much to say today!!
First. We decided on a swap for those interested, to be delivered at our December meeting. It's an easy basket pattern, and I have a form for everyone to fill out with their preferences. Everyone please fill this out by next Friday the 30th. I'll distribute assignments that weekend.

Here are the instructions.

Second. I updated Sew & Tell with a couple of things shown at our October meeting. Very cute stuff. Take a look.
I also wanted to ask if someone would take over the Sew & Tell during the meetings; taking pics, and remembering who had what. I love how we don't really have a formal time to do it and just share as we go, so we can alwaysbesewing, but I forget to take pics sometimes. If someone else got it all and sent me the pics I could update our Sew & Tell page.
Third. The retreat. This will be our fourth annual retreat, and we are doing it a bit differently. Instead of staying a Quilter's Lodge, we'll be doing a day only sew, February 25th through 27th at Grace Company, 6748 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT 84084. The hours are 9am-9pm. They charge for the room, so the fee this year per person is $150. That should cover the room for 3 days and hopefully some extra for drawings, gift bags and the rest. I want to make sure we have a big enough room, because right now I think we have one section.
I have one person paid and confirmed, but since I need to start planning/purchasing, I'm going to put a November 30th deadline to reserve your space.
Not as much pressure this year, but I have had a couple people donate giveaways. If you have something good you're not using and want to give it away, let me know. Also, in the past people have given stickers, little sewing accessories for the baskets, and if you are into that they will go in. It's been fun in past years to see what people share. And don't forget, this has been a great de-stash event. Other people might love what you don't!!
Food this year will be different-- please bring snacks to share, but other than that, I am not planning meals. Everyone is on their own to go out, or bring in, or organize with others to go out. I would love it if we all went out together for some meal, so we can decide on that.
More details to follow.
