My First Round Robin
My First Round Robin

Hey everyone!

Our next meeting is this Wednesday, just two days away. Please bring your Sew and Tell projects to share. And remind me to take pictures—I always mean to, then completely forget!

We’ve also been talking about starting a quilting round robin. I recently participated in one and ended up with a quilt I absolutely treasure. So, let’s give it a try—with a relaxed two-month turnaround to keep things fun and manageable.

Here’s the plan:

- Starting in January or February, each participant will make one block using their chosen fabric, theme, or design. The big reveal will be at the quilt retreat at the end of February.

- You can provide extra fabric or specific color and design suggestions.

- You can share the quilt size you have in mind.

- Each month will feature a technique for the group to use as they contribute to the quilts.

Worried you aren’t creative enough? Don’t be! If you get stuck or need feedback, ask someone in the group for ideas. We’re here to help each other—just not the person whose quilt you’re working on!

My main motivation is that you all are the people I quilt with the most, have done the most swaps with, and just know the best. I think we could end up with really special quilts.

Let’s make this a fun way to share ideas, try new techniques, and create something special together.

We'll chat on Wednesday to see how is interested. Quite a few have already joined and one person (she who will not be named) is OUT.

See you Wednesday!!
