Exciting Changes

This year I thought we'd try a new venue, and reserved the Northern Utah Quilt Retreat in Layton. It may be a bit cozier and exclusive, but I'm excited to be in a new place, close to new quilt shops, but with all my quilting friends!

Dates: February 24-28th, 2027

I'm super excited to share that our retreat space is ready for some creative fun! It features 10 fabulous sewing stations where you can unleash your inner quilting wizard, plus cutting tables and irons. I plan to bring a little side table like our out of town peeps did last year, and feel free to do the same.

Sleeping Arrangements

• 1 comfy bedroom with 3 twin beds

• 1 charming bedroom with 2 twin beds

• 2 lovely bedrooms with queen beds

If you prefer not to share a queen, no worries! We can bring in air mattresses to make it comfy for everyone.

Pricing Details

• A bed reservation for the retreat: $250

• A space for your air mattress: $200 (up to 2)

• A quilting pass, with no bed: $150

To secure your spot, I'm requesting a $100 deposit to cover the amount I've already paid for the space. Text me, and I'll provide you with my PayPal or Zelle account details.

Any funds we collect over the space costs will go towards fabulous gift baskets and fun prizes! If you’re feeling generous and want to donate to those, that would be amazing, but no pressure at all this year, as it should be covered!

(It may be overkill, but since we are more of a community rather than me just hosting a retreat, I was planning to track the spending and costs and provide a little P & L for attendees.)

Food Fun!

Now, let’s talk about food! I'm planning to follow the JSYK tradition of coordinated potlucks for major meals and a doordash or dining out night. Honestly, I can't handle planning, buying and cooking everything myself – call it lazy, but everyone contributing has worked like a charm in the past!

Sidenote: this year maybe we can take it easy, because we had enough food last year to feed a literal army. I mean, a small army. Maybe the coast guard. Something like that. We're feeding 10 women everyone. LOL
