Our first day at Heartfelt was a great success! Some of us wandered around with our new mini quilts, while others were busy preparing gifts for the upcoming August occasion. It was nice to explore our new space, meet some fresh faces, and admire the cute mini quilts on display.

The swap functioned like a matchmaking service for quilts, taking into account the recipient's favorite colors and styles. It gave us a chance to get to know our fellow quilters' tastes a little better. Gathering everyone was a bit like managing chaos, but it added a bit of fun to the anticipation of the big reveal!

Highlights of the Day

  • Mini Quilts Showcase: The atmosphere was lively as everyone displayed their mini quilts, each showcasing unique styles and techniques that brought a smile to our faces.

  • Gift Preparations: Many participants were busy getting their gifts ready for August,

The Quilt Matchmaking Process for our First Swap

The quilt swap was designed to be a fun and engaging experience. Here’s how it unfolded:

  1. Preferences Survey: Participants filled out a survey detailing their favorite colors and quilting styles, allowing for personalized matches.

  2. Matchmaking: Based on the responses, quilts were matched with their intended recipients, ensuring that each quilt would be appreciated.

  3. Reveal Day: The day wrapped up with a reveal, where everyone showcased their matched quilts, leading to some cheers and applause.

Conclusion

In summary, our first day at Heartfelt was not just about quilting; it was a nice blend of community and connection. We left with beautiful quilts, new friendships, and memorable experiences. Looking forward to our next gathering!
