Sew Much Fun Coming Your Way!

Hello, fabulous quilters!
As we roll into summer, we’ve got a patchwork of exciting events coming up that you won’t want to miss!
First things first — if you’re participating in our Mini Swap, don’t forget to turn in your questionnaire by May 31st. This helps your swap partner tailor something perfectly you! The sooner we get them all in, the sooner we can get those creative sparks flying.
We’ll be drawing names for the swap at our next meeting on June 11th, so be sure to come ready for some excitement. We’ll also be diving into a fun discussion about Log Cabin blocks — their history, variations, and all the ways people are putting a twist on this classic design. If you’ve made a cool one (or spotted a clever version online), bring it in or share a pic! We love seeing everyone’s creative flair.
But wait — there’s more! Starting this summer, we’re introducing Open Sew Fridays — a chill, come-and-go sewing time the Friday after each meeting at Wrap the World. Our first session just happens to fall on Friday, June 13th. Spooky? Maybe. But what better way to ward off bad luck than with some good company, great fabric, and a sewing machine humming along? Who needs a rabbit’s foot when you’ve got a rotary cutter?
Got some juicy quilty gossip or a fun quilting news tidbit to share? Maybe someone just bought a longarm, finally finished their UFO from 1997, or accidentally sewed their sleeve to their project again? We’re all ears. Okay, just joking, but if anyone has a sewing/quilting myth they are interested in for our gossip session, let us know! We love to research and report. Let’s bring the chatter to the meeting and keep the community spirit stitched together!

Can’t wait to see everyone on June 11th, and fingers crossed no one’s machine acts haunted on the 13th.
Until then, keep stitching and keep smiling!
